Samsung announced a new fitness wearable watch unpacked event Wednesday in San Francisco.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Active comes with a blood pressure monitoring feature.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Active tracks BP using the My BP Lab app.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is powered by Samsung virtual assistant, Bixby.
- Fall detection,ECG and Emergency SOS.
Design and UI
The Galaxy Watch Active look and feels like a slimmed-down version.The watch -just without the rotating bezel.It has two buttons on the side and a thin aluminum frame in four different metallic finishes– black,silver,rose gold and sea green with swappable rubber bands.
The Galaxy Active Watch come with 0.95-inch full color AMOLED display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 projection and it comes with MIL-STD-810G military grade certification.It gas Exynos 9110 processor and it runs on Samsung Tizen based wearable OS 4.0.With 4GB memory and 786 MB space and it has Bluetooth 4.2,WI-FI,NFC,GPS and Glonass for connectivity.It Battery 230 mAh.
Based on wearable operating system 4.0 that’s compatible with both Android and IOS. The Watch Active will be able to charge wirelessly on back of the new galaxy S10.
Price and Availability
Galaxy Watch Active id$200 price tag and the cheapest Apple Watch series 3 is about $279 in the Apple store.
The Galaxy Watch Active will be available for pre-order starting FEB 21 and will ship March 8.If you pre-order you’ll receive a free wireless charging pad with your purchase.
