Apple MacBook Pro (2021) Models with New M1 Pro, M1 Max chipsets

Apple at its ‘Unleashed’ event on Monday launched the new MacBook Pro models with the all-new MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch variants powered by the new M1 Pro and M1 Pro Max chipset.

They are powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipset. Both chipsets have a 10-core CPU and 16-core (Pro) and 32-core GPU (Max). Apple has added HDMI, SD card ports back to the MacBook Pro along with MagSafe charging. The new MacBook Pro features a Liquid Retina XDR display, a wide range of ports for advanced connectivity, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. New Mini-LED backlight-based display used in the iPad Pro, which supports HDR at higher brightness and allows for better local dimming.

GPU and CPU Performance of M1Pro and M1 Max

Both M1 Pro and M1 are also paired with a 16-core Neural Engine that helps enhance machine learning capabilities on the new MacBook Pro models.

The MacBook Pro (2021) models also come with a Magic Keyboard that replaces the earlier Touch Bar with physical function keys and a wider escape key. You will also get the Force Touch trackpad.

Battery life

The 14-inch MacBook Pro is rated for 17 hours of video playback. The 16-inch model can last for up to 21 hours on a single charge.

Both models feature MagSafe 3 magnetic charging. Fast charging is also supported. Apple says you can charge the 2021 MacBook Pro up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

More ports

The 2021 MacBook Pro has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SDXC card slot, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0
