GoPro Hero 9 Black has been launched. It’s GoPro’s flagship action camera for 2020 and features a higher resolution sensor, larger battery, removable lens cover, and a front-facing color LCD display.
Hero 9 has a larger battery pack than past models in size and power. GoPro has improved the overall resolution at which the Hero 9 Black can shoot, with up to 20-megapixel stills (up from 12 megapixels) is powered by the GP1 and including HDR and raw, and it’ll capture 5K-resolution video (5,120×2,880 pixels) at 30 frames per second along with 4K60, 2.7K120, 1,440p120, 1,080p240. The removable 1,720mAh battery is 40 percent larger than on the Hero 8 Black.
Recording Mode Option
All stabilized with Hypersmooth, even with “Boost” mode available. Also, the following field of view options are there: SuperView, Wide, Linear, Linear & Horizon Levelled, and a “Narrow” mode.
Waterproof
As always, this GoPro is waterproof to 33ft/10m, and the folding mounting fingers on the undercarriage remain from the Hero8 Black.
Came back with removal lens
The GoPro Hero 9 Black brings back the option of removing the lens cover and now, you can swap it with the new Max Lens mod. all-new Max Lens Mod: an ultra-wide angle twist-on lens mod that gives you a 155° field of view and “unbreakable” Max HyperSmooth stabilization at up to 2.7K/60p. It also works with a special horizon lock feature that keeps your video stable on the horizontal or vertical axis, even if you rotate the camera a full 360°.
Quick charging
It supports quick charging with a separate fast charger. It uses a microSD card for recording, and you can also transfer your photos and videos using the USB Type-C port.
